Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Real Estate Legal Assistant to support attorneys with real estate, zoning, land use, development, entitlement, and due diligence matters. This role combines legal administrative support, project coordination, research, and preparation of real estate development applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support, including calendar management, correspondence, document preparation, filing, and client communications.
• Draft, proofread, and organize legal documents, reports, contracts, and correspondence.
• Maintain case files, track deadlines, coordinate meetings, and support case management.
• Conduct real estate, zoning, land use, property assessment, and due diligence research.
• Prepare and coordinate zoning, entitlement, and development applications.
• Assist with project timelines, presentations, and materials for local government boards and public meetings.
• Coordinate with attorneys, architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and government agencies.
• Support billing, timekeeping, expense processing, and other legal administrative functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Urban Planning, City Planning, Public Administration, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• At least two years of administrative or secretarial experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, proofreading, research, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with document management and case management systems.
• Knowledge of zoning, land use, real estate development, and mapping tools is an advantage.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.
• AICP certification desired.
